Kisaan Mitra is a technology-powered crop advisory platform operated by SAYMitra Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (“we”, “us”, “our”). The app provides personalised agricultural guidance, market price information, and farm-management tools to smallholder farmers across India.

When you create an account or use the app, we collect:

• Identity: full name, email address, mobile number
• Location: state, district, village / town, optional GPS coordinates of farm plots
• Farm data: plot size, soil type, irrigation source, crops grown, sowing dates
• Advisory interactions: questions asked, responses received, feedback submitted
• Device data: app version, OS, language preference
• Photos (optional): field images uploaded for crop-disease diagnosis

We use your data exclusively to:

• Generate personalised crop advisory, pest alerts, and irrigation schedules
• Show you relevant mandi prices, government schemes, and input costs
• Improve the accuracy of our recommendations over time (using anonymised, aggregated patterns)
• Send you timely alerts about weather risks or pest outbreaks in your area
• Comply with applicable law

We do not sell your personal data to any third party.

To deliver weather and market data we connect to external APIs (OpenWeatherMap, Agmarknet). These services receive only the minimum data needed (e.g. GPS coordinates for weather, district name for mandi prices). No personal identifiers are shared with these services.

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, all personally identifiable information is permanently erased within 30 days. Anonymised, aggregated data (e.g. regional crop patterns) may be retained for research purposes.

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, you have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
• Erasure — request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Withdraw consent — you may withdraw consent at any time; withdrawal does not affect prior processing

Passwords are stored as bcrypt hashes and are never readable by us. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Access to production databases is restricted to authorised personnel only.

Kisaan Mitra is intended for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has registered, contact us at support@kisan-mitra.in and we will delete the account promptly.

We may update these terms as the app evolves. Material changes will be notified via the app or email at least 15 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Hyderabad, Telangana.
